Everest Bank believes that the society contributes a lot to the development of any organization and hence, organization has also some responsibility towards the society. As part of corporate social Responsibility towards empowering education among the underprivileged students, it has been decided by the bank to donate computers to various intuitions. In this effort the bank has donated 24 computers to 17 schools, college and institutions. This will help to educate the children about computer literacy where they do not have the facility or not having in sufficient numbers
As per banks policy, it has been our endeavor to contribute to the social welfare activities such as women skill development, child education, setting up of health camp, blood donation camp, computer donation etc.
This is small step by the bank towards contributing the welfare of the society. The bank looks forwards to help in the society in whatever way it can in time to time.

Everest Bank Limited (EBL) has started SMS bill payment service to NTC mobile user customer. With the help of this service the NTC post paid mobile holder and pre paid mobile holder can make monthly bill payment or recharge their mobile through SMS. The SMS bill payment facility service is available from all 35 EBL branches. The Mobile holder can make bill payment at any time from any place. Just by sending the SMS to 5677 the customer can pay their post paid bill or recharge their prepaid mobile. All the accountholders of the bank can avail the facility.
• Hassle free payment • Prepaid Mobile user need not to go shops and outlets to buy recharge card. • The prepaid customer will receive instantly recharge pin code after sending the SMS. • Postpaid mobile customers don’t have to stand in queue to make the Monthly bill payment. • Post paid Mobile holder can also request recharge PIN code of Pre-paid mobile. • The payment bill will be effective within couple of Hour. • This payment procedure saves the time. • Customer can make payment at any time.
In an endeavor to provide banking facilities to large and well spread out sections of the society, the bank has installed 32nd ATM Machine in Bhaktapur. Vice Chairman (FNCCI) Mr. Krishna Prasad Tamrakar inaugurates the ATM machine at Bhaktapur. EBL Debit cards can be used at more than 2000 ATMs of Punjab National Bank, India spread all across India. Similarly, the Debit Card holders of PNB can withdraw their money from any ATMs of Everest Bank Limited. This sharing arrangement has benefited huge Nepalese Population residing in India including Students, businessmen, workers, Tourists to India, who want reliable ATM facility for withdrawing their money from their Bank accounts in Nepal. Besides cross border sharing, EBL Debit Card is accepted at more than 350 ATMs of SCT network and over more than 1200 merchant outlets in Nepal. At present, more than 95000 customers of EBL are having EBL Debit Card
The bank has recently launched e-ticketing system, first time in Nepal. Through the system, EBL customer can book and purchase yeti-air ticket through internet. Similary, EBL customer can recharge their prepaid NTC (Namaste and Sky phones) through their mobiles itself. This is a service offered for the first time in Nepal.
The bank currently is providing banking services through 60 points viz. 35 branches, 5 revenue collection counters, 20 authorized representatives in VDCs through “Everest Ghar-Dailo Banking Sewa, a branchless banking system.

In this attempt, we have opened our 35th branch at Thamel. The bank currently is providing banking services through 60 points viz. 35 branches, 5 revenue collection counters, 20 authorized representatives in VDCs through “Everest Ghar-Dailo Banking Sewa, a branchless banking system. Mr. Bir Bikram Raymajhi, Deputy Governor, Nepal Rastra Bank, inaugurated the branch at the event.
The bank also inaugurated its 31 ATM counters at the premises. Mr Surendra Kumar Shrestha , President of Thamel Tourism Development Council, inaugurated the ATM. EBL debit card also has access to more than 350 ATMs in Nepal and more than 2000 ATM locations in India where by EBL customers going to India need not carry cash but simply withdraw through EBL Debit cards

“Everest – Ghar Dailo Banking Sewa”, a branchless banking system, the bank plans to extend it to all terai branches. The bank believes that its expansion to these strategic locations would adhere to its objective of serving the middle and lower section of the society.
The Board of Directors of Everest Bank Ltd. in its meeting held on 10th September, 2009 approved the Profit and Loss Account for the financial year ended 31st Asadh, 2066 and the Balance Sheet as on 31st Asadh, 2066. The Board noted with satisfaction that despite continuing constraints in economy of the country the Bank was able to increase its net profit by 37% compared to last year – from Rs.45.12 crores to Rs.63.87 crores. The operating profit has reached Rs. 107.35 crore compared to Rs.81.82 crores in the last financial year. The deposits increased by 31% and advances by 30% during the financial year. The Board also noted with satisfaction that the Asset quality has improved further. The NPA has further gone down to 0.48% from 0.68% in the previous year. The Board also resolved to recommend to declare a) Bonus share of 30% and b) Cash Dividend of 30% subject to the permission from Nepal Rastra Bank and Annual General Meeting of the shareholders.
The Bank had opened six branches during the financial year. These branches are located at Beshisahar (Lamjung District), Golfutar (Kathmandu District), Kirtipur (Kathmandu District), Kushma (Parbat District), Surkhet (Surkhet District), Lagankhel ( Lalitpur District). Since then during the current financial year the Bank has opened three more branches in Tulsipur (Dang District), Maitidevi and Thamel (Kathmandu District). The Board also noted with satisfaction that an innovative branchless banking was inaugurated by the Bank during the last financial year. This is being gradually extended to more Branches –eventually to cover most of the villages in the country having telephone connections.
The Board of Directors of Everest Bank Ltd. in its meeting held on 9th August, 2009 discussed the un-audited Profit and Loss Accounts for the financial year ended 31st Asadh, 2066 and the Balance Sheet as on 31st Asadh, 2066.
The Board noted with satisfaction that despite continuing constraints in economy of the country, the Bank was able to increase its net profit by 38% compared to last year – from Rs.45.12 crore to Rs. 62.40 crore. The operating profit has reached Rs. 106.60 crore which was Rs.81.82 crore in the last FY 2064/65.
The deposits increased by 39% and advances by 30% during the period.
The Board also noted with satisfaction that the Asset quality has improved further. The NPA has further gone down to 0.48% from 0.68% in the previous year.
The Bank has now 34 branches .The Bank has the largest net work among private sector commercial banks. The 35th branch is scheduled to be opened at Thamel in Kathmandu within a month.

In an endeavor to provide banking facilities to large and well spread out sections of the remote village, throughout Nepal, Everest Bank Limited (EBL) has further launched Everest Ghar-Dailo Banking Sewa, in different 6 locations of Banke District through its branch at Nepalgunj on 26th July 2009.
The bank has been offering various innovative products and services since its inception. This new product is a revolution in the banking history of Nepal and is a new breakthrough in terms of banking technology. The uniqueness in the technology lies in the fact that even illiterate people can operate their account through thumb impression. The machine reads accounts through biometric data stored during account opening. Thus, the operation of the account is safe and secure.
The Branchless banking service of EBL helps the people in remote villagers to make the banking transaction i.e. opening bank account, withdrawal, deposit, remittance from abroad and fund transfer. The transaction is made through special machine available to the Business Correspondent appointed at different location.

Chief District Officer of Banke District Mr. Birendra Bahadur Baniya announces the launching of Everest Ghar-Dailo Banking by cutting the ribbon of Everest Ghar-Dailo Replica Card at the function.
Currently the facility would be offered through six VDC viz. Bhageshoweri, Kohalpur (Ward No-4 and Ward No –9), Manikapur, Bankatwa in Banke and Motipur in Bardiya District.
EBL has presently 32 branches and 29 ATM locations. It is shortly planning to add three more branches in Maitidevi and Thamel at Kathmandu Valley and Tulsipur branch in Dang District
The product has already been launched at 13 Villages i.e 8 villages in Baglung and 5 Village in Bhaktapur.
