Nepal Police and Everest Bank Limited Sign MOU for Scholarship Akshaya Fund

Everest Bank, under its CSR initiative, has provided financial support of Rs 25 lakh to Nepal Police for the establishment of Nepal Police Everest Bank scholarship fund.

The Bank has signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Nepal Police Headquarters and Police Welfare Fund for the establishment of  “Nepal Police-Everest Bank Akshaya Fund” worth 2.5 million.

The program was signed by Kedar Dhakal, Senior Superintendent of Police of Nepal Police Police Welfare Fund and Keshavraj Poudel, Deputy General Manager of the Bank, in the presence of Dhiraj Pratap Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Police and Sudesh Khaling, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank.

During the ceremony, Chief Executive Officer of the bank Khaling expressed his belief that the Akshaya Fund established for the descendants of Nepal Police’s martyrs and disabled, retired officers will improve the educational life of the established Akshaya Fund.

According to the bank, the fund has been established with the aim of providing Jehendar scholarship as a motivation to the descendants of Nepal Police who study in Nepal Police Schools, and who are disabled, retired, Police Office Assistant to Police Senior Constable and who have obtained excellent marks.
