Everest Bank Limited has provided relief materials to flood victim of Siraha District. Everest Bank has been undertaking different welfare activities as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility. The relief materials were distributed to the flood victim of Paterwa, Siraha. The relief materials like Sanitary Pads, Rice, Soyabean, Grams, Salt, Utensils, Tooth Paste and Cloths & School Bags for Children. EBL has always been conscious of its social responsibilities and as a part of its CSR activities, has been organizing various programs for the benefit of the people at large.

Everest Bank has handed over the cheque of Rs. 3 Lacs in presence of CDO of Siraha, MR. Gopal Kumar Adhikari; Superintend of Police, Mr. Uma Pd. Chaturbedi and Superintend of Armed Police Force, Mr. Som Gurung to Media Advocacy group, to support the relief distribution project being conducted by Women Friendly Disaster Management.

In this endeavor, the bank has recently collaborated with FINLET Nepal to conduct Financial Literacy classes in ten schools of Dharan, Sunsari. FINLET Nepal will support Everest bank in its Financial Literacy initiative. A specially designed five months long Financial Literacy program called School Book, which gives children & their parents a better understanding of financial matters by teaching them the principles of money management, saving & spending, financial planning and investment, will be conducted. FINLET has been working in various part of Nepal organizing Financial Education programs.

Everest Bank has installed energy efficient and eco-friendly cremation system at Shantighat, Pokhara. The machine has heat recovery system and reflector to utilize waste heat and minimize cremation duration; this will save more than 250 kg of wood per cremation which will control the deforestation. The system helps control pollution as the smoke is passed through wet scrubber to remove hazardous air pollutants and toxins before releasing to atmosphere. Everest Bank Limited organized Free Health Check-up Camp & Self Defense Camp

 

Kathmandu, 14th March, 2019: On the occasion of 106th International Women’s Day Everest Bank Limited organized a free health check-up camp and self-defense camp to celebrate as well as to contribute towards the society. The bank organized the free health check-up camp and self-defense camp for customers, general public and college students at Aadharsha Kanya Niketan, Patan Durbar Square in association with Norvic Hospital and collaboration with Sabah Nepal.

 

During the health check-up camp, around 200 female were benefited from the service provided there. The program included services & awareness of female related health issues. There was also self-defense camp especially for the female students of Aadharsha Kanya Niketan. EBL has always been conscious of its social responsibilities and as a part of its CSR activities, has been organizing various programs for the benefit of the people at large.

Everest Bank has been undertaking different welfare activities to provide sanitation to the underprivileged people of the country as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility. In this endeavor, the bank has recently handover cheque to Zonta Club of Kathmandu provide humanitarian assistance with the concentration on the sanitation purpose through the construction of toilets in Nawalparasi district.

 

Amid a function, Mr. Someshwar Seth, CEO of the Bank handover the cheque to Ms. Seema Golcha and Sameena Shrestha, representative of the club to construct the toilets for female students in government schools of Nawalparasi. The bank expects that it will help to reduce the number of female students drop-out, just because of lack of toilets & sanitation problem. Mr. Girish Kohli, DGM of the Bank, Sameena Shrestha, member of Nawalparasi Toilet project and other distinguished guests were also present at the function.

As the part of CSR Initiative, the bank has  extended its support to Nepalese Parkinson Disease Association by providing computer table and arm chair.

On 7th April, 2018 Parkinson Nepal organized “Nepal- Run For Parkinson’s 2018” to spread awareness about Parkinson Diseases . EBL supported Parkinson Nepal for an event for spreading awareness about diseases.
