Send Money Instantly Between Nepal and India Using Your Mobile Banking
Everest Bank Limited (EBL) is pleased to announce the public launch of the Real-time Nepal–India Cross Border Person-to-Person (P2P) Remittance Service through our EBL Touch 24 Mobile Banking Application.
This service allows eligible customers to transfer funds seamlessly between Nepal and India using just a Virtual Payment Address (VPA) / UPI ID – no need to share sensitive bank account details.
Who Can Use This Service?

How to Send Money from Nepal to India (Step-by-Step)
One-Time Setup (Non-Financial)
Before your first transfer, you must provide your consent:
- Log in to EBL Touch 24
- A pop-up will appear for “Cross Border Transfer”
- Select your account and provide consent to send/receive funds.
- Authenticate using MPIN or biometric (fingerprint / face ID).
You can manage this consent later from Profile → Cross Border Transfer in the app.
Sending Money (Financial Transaction)
Once setup is complete:
- Log into EBL Touch 24.
- Go to Send Money→ Select Cross Border Transfer.
- Enter the recipient’s India UPI ID (VPA)and Full Name
(Example: abc@okicici or 9876543210@pnb). - Enter the amount in Indian Rupees (INR)and select the purpose code (e.g., family maintenance).
- Review total cost: INR amount, NPR equivalent, and bank charges.
- Authenticate using MPIN or biometric.
- Receive instant confirmation– the beneficiary’s account in India is credited almost instantly.
Important: International transactions must be enabled for your account via the one-time consent process described above.
Key Reminders for Customers
- This service is available only to Indian citizens residing and working in Nepalwith an Everest Bank account (for outward transfers from Nepal).
- Always verify the recipient’s UPI ID (VPA)carefully before confirming.
- Ensure your EBL Touch 24 app is updatedto the latest version.
- Strictly adhere to per transaction, daily, and monthly limits.
- Transaction confirmation messages should be saved for reference.
