Everest Bank marked its 29^th anniversary with felicitation of 28 number of staffs with more than 25 years of service in the bank & organized various CSR activities at Head Office, Lazimpat. Most of the employees along with customers actively participated in the program. More than 200 employees of the bank participated in the event. Amidst a special function, Mr. Sudesh Khaling Chief Executive Officer of the bank felicitated the 28 staffs with more than 25 years of service in the bank.

Bank under CSR handed the cheque of Rs. 5.00 Lacs to M/s. Kopil Valley Sewa Samaj Surkhet. Mr. Keshab Prasad Poudel Deputy General Manager of the bank handed the cheque to Dr. SP Kalaunee Country Representative of M/s. BlinkNow Foundation on behalf of M/s. Kopil Valley Sewa Samaj Surkhet in presence of Mr. Puspa Raj Uprety Head-Marketing & Institutional Deposit & Ms. Alina Karki Marketing Officer of the bank & Ms. Ashrina Ranjit-Partnerships Manager of M/s. The 29th Annual General Meeting of Everest Bank Limited (EBL) was held on 2080-06-30.

The general meeting approved the financial statement, balance sheet, profit and loss account, cash flow statement, and annual report for the same time, as well as the auditor’s report.

For the fiscal year 2079-80, the general meeting approved a resolution to distribute 10 %  bonus shares and 10.53 % cash dividend (including bonus share tax) to shareholders.

As the present issued and paid-up capital will increase when the bank distributes the planned bonus shares, the general meeting approved a motion to alter the memorandum of association to enhance the issued and paid-up capital.

The general meeting of the bank has unanimously passed the decision to appoint Mr. N. Amatya & Co., Chartered Accountants as auditors for the year 2080-81.

Everest Bank Limited Manigram branch in coordination with its Provincial Office Lumbini organized a Financial Literacy Program & alsohanded over 55 QR Codes to the drivers associated with M/s. Nepal Auto Tempo & E-Rickshaw Yatayat Pvt Ltd.

Conducted in chairmanship of Mrs. Jageshwor Devi Chaudhary Deputy Mayor of Tilottama Municipality Mrs. Chaudhary stated that the financial literacy & QR code distribution shall help the locals of Manigram to understand banking & its easy access to the society while Mr. Khaling CEO of the bank stated that distribution of more than 55 QR Codes to the drivers of tempo & e-rickshaw shall enable them for promotion of their business, cashless transactions & assure such programs shall be organized regularly. Further, he stated that bank shall always be upfront in helping & developing the entrepreneurs.

Further, the QR Code was distributed in coordination with FonePay where in Mr. Diwas Sapkota CEO of FonePay was also present in the event.

Everest Bank Limited signs Financial Closure of consortium agreement with Kajaria Ramesh Tiles Limited, Nepal’s largest tiles manufacturing 50:50 joint venture between Kajaria Ceramics Limited & Ramesh Corp., in presence of member banks. The member banks of the project are Nabil Bank, Nepal SBI Bank &Prabhu Bank.

Amidst a special function organized at EBL House Lazimpat Mr. Sudesh Khaling CEO Everest Bank & Mr. Rohit Gupta Vice Chairman of Ramesh Corp. executed the agreement. Under the consortium financing Rs. 300 crores shall be financed by the banks for the project value at approximately 400 crores.

On September 29, 2023 Everest Bank Limited and Nirvana Physiotherapy & Wellness Center, Lazimpat, has signed a MoU wherein the center will offer special discount up to 25% on IPD-Advanced/Manual/Cupping/Laser Physiotherapy, Acupressure, Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Osteopathy, Neuro-Musculo-Skeletal & Cardio-Pulmo pain management, Overall Holistic Well Being (Osteo, Yogic & Marma) to the customers, card holders, mobile banking users, staffs & their family members of EBL.

The MoU was signed & exchanged by Mr. Bishnu Prasad Gautam, Head Retail-SME of EBL & Mr. Rajul Shrestha, Managing Director of the Wellness Center. On 12th September 12, 2023 Everest Bank Limited and Om Hospital & Research Center Pvt Ltd, Chabahil, has signed a MoU wherein the hospital will offer special discount up to 10% on IPD-Diagnostics, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy& 5% discount on Dental Services to the customers, card holders, mobile banking users, staffs & their family members of EBL.

Everest Bank, a joint venture partner with Punjab National Bank India, has collaborated with Fonepay, Nepal’s largest payment network and launched the first of its kind offline digital payment solution, also known as “FoneTAG” in Nepali market. FoneTAG  is an offline payment solution that enables customers to make merchant payments by presenting NFC tag or a CPQR code (customer presented QR code) from mobile banking app even in areas with limited or no internet connectivity.

The limit for offline transactions is Rs. 5000 per transaction. The service is accessible to all Everest Bank customers through their mobile banking app.
