Everest Bank Limited Manigram branch in coordination with its Provincial Office Lumbini organized a Financial Literacy Program & alsohanded over 55 QR Codes to the drivers associated with M/s. Nepal Auto Tempo & E-Rickshaw Yatayat Pvt Ltd.

Conducted in chairmanship of Mrs. Jageshwor Devi Chaudhary Deputy Mayor of Tilottama Municipality Mrs. Chaudhary stated that the financial literacy & QR code distribution shall help the locals of Manigram to understand banking & its easy access to the society while Mr. Khaling CEO of the bank stated that distribution of more than 55 QR Codes to the drivers of tempo & e-rickshaw shall enable them for promotion of their business, cashless transactions & assure such programs shall be organized regularly. Further, he stated that bank shall always be upfront in helping & developing the entrepreneurs.

Further, the QR Code was distributed in coordination with FonePay where in Mr. Diwas Sapkota CEO of FonePay was also present in the event.

Everest Bank Limited signs Financial Closure of consortium agreement with Kajaria Ramesh Tiles Limited, Nepal’s largest tiles manufacturing 50:50 joint venture between Kajaria Ceramics Limited & Ramesh Corp., in presence of member banks. The member banks of the project are Nabil Bank, Nepal SBI Bank &Prabhu Bank.

Amidst a special function organized at EBL House Lazimpat Mr. Sudesh Khaling CEO Everest Bank & Mr. Rohit Gupta Vice Chairman of Ramesh Corp. executed the agreement. Under the consortium financing Rs. 300 crores shall be financed by the banks for the project value at approximately 400 crores.

Everest Bank, a joint venture partner with Punjab National Bank India, has collaborated with Fonepay, Nepal’s largest payment network and launched the first of its kind offline digital payment solution, also known as “FoneTAG” in Nepali market. FoneTAG  is an offline payment solution that enables customers to make merchant payments by presenting NFC tag or a CPQR code (customer presented QR code) from mobile banking app even in areas with limited or no internet connectivity.

The limit for offline transactions is Rs. 5000 per transaction. The service is accessible to all Everest Bank customers through their mobile banking app.
