In its effort to cater to the banking needs of large & well spread sections of the society, EBL has always been a front runner in providing latest & innovative product/services.

 

In this endeavour, in order to facilitate easiest banking facilities to the devotees/visitors of Sh. Pashupatinath Temple, the Bank has established its new ATM machine inside the temple premises. The ATM has been jointly inaugurated by Dr. Govind Tandon (Member Secretary-Pashupatinath Trust) & Mr. AK Ahluwalia (CEO-EBL). The inaugural function was also attended by other dignitaries including High-level officials of Pashupatinath Trust, Bank’s Employees & Brand Ambassador Ms. Sadichha Shrestha. At the same function, the Bank also distributed warm clothes to around 250 elderly people of Pashupatinath Old-age home.

 

Further, for collection of donation to the temple from across the world, the Bank has already facilitated free of cost fund transfer service through all the branches of Everest Bank as well as more than 6000 branches of Punjab National Bank in India. Likewise, the Bank already installed digital board & LCD Television in the West Gate of the Pashupatinath Temple to display information for devotees/visitors.

 

EBL has always been conscious of its social responsibilities and as a part of its CSR activities, has been organizing various programs for the benefit of the people at large mainly from deprived & under privileged region.

 

Presently the Bank is rendering professionalized & efficient banking services through its wide network of 50 branches, 5 Extension Counters, 20 Revenue Collection Counters, 72 ATMs, Representative Office at New Delhi, India and many correspondents across the globe.

The 19th Annual General Meeting of Everest Bank Limited held on 23rd Ashwin, 2070 approved the payment of 50% cash dividend and 10% bonus shares as already recommended by the Board of Directors of the Bank as well as approved by Nepal Rastra Bank.

The Bank further announced that the payment of cash dividend and distribution of bonus shares shall commence from the next day itself, that is 24th Ashwin.

The shareholders congratulated the Board and the Management for declaring the highest cash dividend/bonus shares so far in the country for the financial year.

Everest Bank Ltd. organizes Free Health Camp at Bhadrapur & Birtamode and Opens Extension Counter at Damak

Everest Bank organized Free Health Checkup Camps for patients from Bhadrapur & Birtamode on 17th & 18th January 2013. During the camp, around 300 people of each area received treatment from the team of doctors led by Dr. Bharat Rawat (Cardiac Specialist of the country). The services covered during the camp were Cardiac, Neuro, orthopedics & General Medicine. The program was aimed at early diagnosis of different health problems, wherein the doctors present advised on precautions & solutions. Further to impart awareness to the local residents, an interaction program was also organized, where Dr. Rawat attended queries of large number of participants & also shed light on healthy life style.

Everest Bank Ltd. (EBL) organizes Blood Donation Camp & Launches new Deposit Product on the occasion of 18th Anniversary

EBL celebrated 18th Anniversary on 1st Kartik 2069 by organizing various programs including Blood Donation Camp, Prize Distributions along with launching of new Deposit products among others.

Owing to the significance of blood donation and as a part of CSR activity, EBL organized this Blood Donation Camp coinciding with the Annual day. Most of the employees along with their relatives as well as the customers actively participated on the program. Similarly the bank handed over 1000 notebooks to the poor & needy children of different Government Schools through a NGO called “Shake Hands for Children”. EBL has always been conscious of its social responsibilities by extending support to the disabled, poor people, victims of natural disaster etc.

Similarly, the bank gave away prizes to the Highest Scoring Children of Staffs in SLC & Plus Two level of last year as well as to the winner of internal drawing/painting competition among the children of Staff.

On the same occasion, the bank launched a new deposit product called “EVEREST PIZZA DEPOSIT” targeting individuals/institutions intended to have liquidity feature with flexibility in long-term investment. This is a unique kind of Fixed Deposit introduced for the first time in Nepal as it has breakable option i.e. the fixed deposit can be broken any time and the remaining portion will be continued with original terms. Customers are allowed to withdraw up to 50% of original deposits even before the maturity, without any penal charge.

In this endeavor, the bank recently launched 5 Cash Deposit Machines for the first time in Nepal. Till date, banks were providing only withdrawal facility to the customers through its ATM machine. The newly installed machine has real time cash deposit feature due to which the customer need not stay in the queue at the cash counter.

The 1st machine was inaugurated at New Baneshowar branch by Mr. P.K. Mohapatra (CEO of EBL). The inaugural function was attended by various distinguished personalities including Managing Director of Forbes India (supplier of the Machine) among others. Similar 4 machines have been installed in other branches namely Lazimpat, New Road, Pulchowk & Chabahil.
